Hello and Welcome!! My name is Deborah (aka Deb) the owner/writer here at Scattered Musings of A Creative Mind. I am a mother of 5 awesome children (Jr. Priscilla, Danielle, Gabriela, and Noah) my youngest is 13. Grandma to 5 amazing grandchildren (JJ, Kayden, Elizabeth, Tristian, Alivia) and wife to a super supportive amazing man. (Kevin) My family mean the world to me and cherish every second with them!
Sunny Florida has been my home for 42 years, prior to a fall and breaking my ankle I worked as an Executive Assistant to various VP’s in construction, sales and engineering. While recovering from my accident, I took on the role of a stay at home mom/grandma.
The summer of 2010 brought on many life changes for me, I found myself writing constantly. (in journals I kept) Then one day I realized that I was keeping all my life experiences, and creative writing locked away in journals. I remember thinking that there may be someone out that could benefit or would enjoy my scattered ramblings, that’s when Scattered Musings of A Creative Mind was born.
I take great pride in my blog, which started out as a place to share my thoughts on many topics, which include love, family & marriage, parenting, health & beauty. My favorite recipes, sewing projects, home decorating, craft tutorials, DIY projects and any other hobbies I’ve picked up along the way.
Then one day it erupted into a Google Page Rank 3 blog and I found myself adding two new topics to my blog product reviews & giveaways. It’s been about 2.5 years since I’ve added product reviews & giveaways to my blog and I love it! I’ve had the opportunity to work with many great companies.

I used to believe that I was too in-depth and gave a little too much information when explaining things or telling a story, that ability has made my writing unique and many have said they love my “writing style”. If I don’t know something I tend to go out looking for more information on it and usually won’t let it go until I can actually carry a conversation about it.
When I named my blog I picked Scattered Musings of A Creative Mind, because I just thought it described me. It later became helpful in the sense that I am not tied to just one niche by the name of my blog.
