I recently had a wonderful opportunity to work with VisAcuity an online reading glasses store. Their tagline is “Cool reading glasses for hip men and women!”, and that’s exactly what they have. I wanted a pair that had a little style, and didn’t scream “she picked me up at the local drug store”. I had a few questions and was given personal one on one care by Mark, whom was so helpful, and responsive to my questions. Thanks a bunch Mark for all your help and dedication!
If you are like me ordering anything online is often a guessing game, and we wonder “will the product arrive as it’s shown on the site, will it be made of “decent/high” quality materials, and am I really going to get my monies worth?” Among other things like, how long will it take to arrive and other shipping issues you can think of. Let me put your mind to rest because ordering from VisAcuity you’re going to get what you see, and the quality is even better than you can imagine. Shipping was quick and the handling/packaging was perfect and my glasses arrived in immaculate shape. High five on both customer service and shipping!
The glasses are awesome in person and the quality was more than I expected. Before I continue my review let me share a little story with you. VisAcuity hasn’t done any marketing with bloggers which means I am their first, Mark was a little skeptical at first, but I assured him he was in good hands. The day after my glasses arrived I received an email by him suggesting I take a look at a link, after clicking it I realized that the glasses I ordered now had a new name. They were now called Deborah McConnell Semi-rimless Ophthalmic-grade Reading Glasses. How cool is that? Long story short after we discussed the how’s/what’s etc. we pushed back the review for vacations, and minor website changes. During this time frame probably 2- 3 weeks, the glasses sold out in the US and it will probably be a few months before the distributor can get more. So the glasses you will see today are currently unavailable, but don’t worry they have such a huge selection you won’t even miss these. So there is my little story of my fame. Let’s get back to the review shall we?
Anyways I decided on a pair of readers (another name for reading glasses) that were semi- rimless and in a color I thought would compliment my hair/skin color. I also didn’t want the ones with the little pieces that rest on the bridge of your nose, for some reason those always cause me to get a sinus pressure type headache. I think I did a pretty good job at getting a color/style that worked with my hair and skin tone. What do you think? I almost forgot to mention that most of their glasses come with a stylish matching carry case. Mine came with a cool lime green and purple case two of my favorite colors.

I would totally get them for me! I have a cheap pair of reader glasses from Dollar Tree and despite helping me read, they have a film over them that I can’t get clean. So I can really use a nice pair of reading glasses!!

Even though I actually need prescription lenses I find that with the different size computer screens I tend to use Readers at work and at home!! I would buy 2 for myself in different strengths!!

I’ve had my pair for about 1.5 years and the screws are starting to get loose. I have to tighten them every few days. My only complaint… some locktite will hopefully solve the problem. I’m about ready to order another pair. Cool stuff with the Rafflecopter!
