If you visited 100 blogs today, and left a comment on each blog what do you think would happen? Awe, you’re thinking things like .. my fingers would be tired, that would be to much work, and lastly wow! really!! I DO have a life!! All those thoughts are pretty interesting and probably true statements. (but my ankle hurt and I couldn’t sleep and I had to do something quietly!) By doing this it can also mean something else to you as a blogger, those 100 comments you made on other blogs can potently mean 100 comments for your blog.
Sadly or not so sadly (depends on how you look at it I guess) the blogging world is a give… to be given world. If you want comments, you’re going to have to get out there an give them, works the same for tweets, shares, and votes. If you want others to share, tweet and vote for you, you’ve got to be prepared to do a little of it too. Not everyone will return the comments, shares, votes etc, but the average blogger will return the favor. It sometimes feels like a big competition, who has the most votes, follows, shares, twitter fans etc. But lets face it we the bloggers are actually each others biggest fans.
Finding 100 blogs to comment on can be interesting. Give it a try do a search “blogs about (your favorite topic)” then go comment on a few. This typically isn’t the most time consuming approach to finding blogs to comment on. There are easier ways like searching Facebook Groups, joining blogging communities, and social media networks. You can also take a look at the side bar or footer, on blogs you visit most of the time they will have some of their communities listed. Most communities are open to anyone that will fit into their niche, if you find one that you like then join. By the time you’ve done the things I’ve mentioned you’ll have plenty of blogs you can visit and comment on.
So remember if you want comments, go out there and comment. It works the same with followers for your social media networks. If you need twitter followers, Facebook likes, Google+, Pinterest, and Goodreads followers make sure you follow others. You can start today by, clicking on any of the links in my article. Then in your comments below let me know, and I’ll gladly return the favor.
Stay tuned for “things to do while visiting another bloggers blog”…
Have you ever counted how many blogs you commented on? Did you note the number of comments you got in return?

Now thats an amazing post…Thanks!
100 comments… hmm. I don’t know. I am lucky to get a 100 views. LOL I did get that for awhile but, as soon as I stopped blogging daily or every other day, they dropped off. Now, just like you, I only have a handful of regular commenters. It doesn’t matter really though, like I stated in my last post. I have a million things going on at any given moment and blogging is not always at the top of that list. I’m working on some new stuff though so we will see if I get back into posting or not. Booo @ me being so conceited in my comment. I know you know what I am on about though. Take care girl and have a great weekend. xoxo
Jenni, blogging takes a lot of effort and work. It’s not always easy to put in the time and there are plenty of days where I just couldn’t write a decent article if my life depended on it. It’s OK thou because we are the types that run our blog and not our blog running us. : )
I think we’ve been reading and exploring each other’s worlds since the start of my blogging days. I’ve always appreciated your visits and thoughts on my articles. Many thanks lovely lady!! oxox <3

Hi Debbie,
.
Great post!
And even doing so sometimes you comment an don’t get the comment back. I would add to your post if you want 100 comments try commenting on 120 blogs
Following you via Facebook (personal page), and Twitter.
Hope to see you around !
Jay, thanks!! HA!! I know right many don’t practice the return comment thing. I think it’s interesting to see the blogs of folks that comment here.

As soon as I observed this site I went on reddit to share some of the love with them.
I LOVE this! Thanks for sharing! I think this reminder is crucial for the survival of one’s blog (if it’s purpose is to be something other than a private diary that no one else reads!)!
So true! I have been trying to find more blogs to read lately. I really love finding new blogs and making new connections.
So do I Heather each time I go on a wild blog chase I find another 3 or 4 blogs I just can’t live without LOL
Love this.. and need to start doing this more.. I do some but your right need to do it more. Thanks for the post.
Kim, I ended up getting 80 comments to my 100 left, not bad I think.. Definitely worth the effort… if you have the time and patience.
This is so true. I just learned about FB groups and need to explore that area more. Sadly, the return on blog commenting is about 25%. Some simply just don’t get it and wonder why their blog traffic isn’t moving. Oh and BTW: Great post.
Susan, so true I am one of those that ‘tests’ things out. I belonged to one group for almost 2 years now, at first many kept the commenting, sharing etc. flying. But then I wondered how many of them are my “real followers” meaning how many would come to my blog regardless. Sadly but only a handful stopped by my blog without me commenting on theirs first. You are right some … just don’t get it
Great post!
a community of bloggers where you can exchange guest posts and comments between blogs.
Worth checking!
Jennifer, thank you..
