ChicoBag a clever reusable bag

When I shop I like to bring my own bags, I don’t like using the plastic ones from the stores because they aren’t sturdy, and they are just more garbage for our landfills. I have a few reusable bags that are always in my car, but on occasions after shopping they aren’t put back into my car and I am forced to use the plastic store bags.

I always thought if only I could keep at least one bag clipped somewhere on my handbag (purse) then I’d always have a minimum of 1 bag with me. I came across The ChicoBag Company and absolutely loved their idea. A clever little pouch with a clip and after opening it becomes a large full size reusable bag. How convenient is that? After reaching out to them, I was pleased that they wanted to work with Scattered Musings on a review & giveaway.

Here’s a true story, last weekend the hub’s and I needed to return 2 – HD DVR boxes to our cable company (Verizon) to switch out for their newer boxes. The boxes are pretty big and a bit on the heavy side. As I was unplugging them and getting them ready, I was trying remember if I had a bag that would be sturdy and possibly roomy enough for both boxes. Then lying there on the counter in front of me was my new ChicoBag, calling out to me “use me! use me!” so I did.

I definitely put the bag to the test on both sturdiness and roominess. It passed with flying colors, the bag had room for both boxes, 2 plug cords, and 2 remotes!! I was honesty worried about the sturdiness part and was afraid, I lifted the bag with extra care (just in case) but the hub’s walks out and takes them from me lugs them to the car. (without a care in the world, and I didn’t mention I was using a new bag either) He did comment “wow, you got them both in this bag?” and “you sure you’ve got the cord plugs and remotes too?” I replied “Yep! that’s a pretty cool bag isn’t it?” and him being a man (and we know they really don’t care about our bags) he nods and replies back with a simple “yep”.

We get to the store and get our new boxes (the store actually has cool reusable bags they packed the new boxes in) while the hub’s was making sure he was getting what he wanted, I tuck my ChicoBag back up into the little pocket and draw the strings together. As we are walking to the car, I ask the hub’s to stop a second (I wanted to clip the ChicoBag to the bag he was carrying) He stops and I clip the bag to his bag, he says” what is that?” I reply “the bag we had the other boxes in.”  He replies back with it’s that little?”  I simply say “it’s pretty cool huh?” HA!! This time he wanted to know more about it. I went on to explain where the bag came from and how I was doing a review on it for the company. When I was done, he says “well give them a thumbs up for me”.
