We all know the importance of using natural products from the beauty products we buy, to the foods we eat. We spend many hours and often money finding the right products that work for us. I’ve become more aware of how important it is to protect and moisturize my skin properly. You may have read one of my recent articles summer skin, were I talk about using sunscreens and visiting your dermatologist etc. If you haven’t read it then head over after you’ve finished here.

True Natural Beauty Products and Benecos Mascara

Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion, Vanilla Coconut – I loved how it smelled fresh and clean as a coconut, with a touch of spice by the vanilla. I also liked how it comes in a convenient pump bottle. It’s 100% mineral based, all natural biodegradable, it also goes on clear.

Self Tanner, Face & Body, Lavender Scent – I honestly admit I wasn’t so sure about using this product, we have all heard the horrid nightmares about ‘orange skin’ after using a self tanner. I was shocked and almost completely satisfied with this product. I applied the lotion per the instructions, and waited the 3 hours as the instructions stated it would take for a change. 3 hours later and I indeed had a nice bronze glow, the instructions also said you could apply it again to intensify the tan. Well I applied more a few minutes before bed letting it sink into my skin for about 5 mins before hopping in bed. (fresh clean white sheets) The next morning I indeed looked darker, and was happy with the results. I immediately checked the sheets, because I had feared that they would be orange. Nothing!

I wanted to see how long the color would last, 3 days later I am still golden bronze and it looks great, and my sheets too! I assume that I might not have been completely dry when I climbed into bed, and since it was such a small amount it took longer to have an effect on the sheets. Anyways I normally change our sheets once a week, well today was wash day. I am sure it will come out in the wash, but I thought it was funny that 3 days later the sheets finally turned.  Either way I’d recommend this product, just give yourself more time to dry and maybe lay an old sheet under yourself before bed.

Benecos Natural Multi Effect Mascara -  I really enjoyed using this mascara, it felt like I was putting water on my lashes. Another great thing about it was it didn’t clump my lashes. It’s made from all natural ingredients like organic jojoba oil and vitamin E. This is a 100% vegan product.

Below pictures shows the nice golden bronze color the self tanner gave me (after 2 applications) *note that I didn’t put any on my face in that picture (I wanted to test the product prior putting on my face, in case it made me orange)
