Lip Balm by Rosebud Perfume Co.
Rosebud Perfume Company, Inc. sent me their Medley of Lip Balm Tubes for my review. They were also generous to offer one of my readers the same product.
I think their product packaging has a vintage style and I love the metal tins. I remember my grandmother having a little tin of ointment she would always put on our scraps and minors cuts. It wasn’t until recently that I figured out what it was, it was Rosebud Salve.
The salve was one of the first products to be made after Dr. George F. Smith founded the Rosebud Perfume Company in 1895. The unique history behind it was, that the Dr. was asked by local townies, friends and family to make a salve for minor rashes, scraps etc. Accepting the challenge he started developing the product in his small pharmacy, he originally called it “Balsam of Rosebuds” and was later renamed to Rosebud Salve. The whole story behind Rosebud Perfume Co. is amazing you can read more about it here.
The Review
The Medley of Lip Balm Tubes come in a vintage style circle tin, one you can use later to keep little trinkets in.
There are 3 different Lip Balm Tubes inside each one is .05 fl oz., the flavors are Rosebud Salve, Mocha Rose, and Strawberry. When you open the tin you can immediately smell the delicious flavors. I say delicious because after you get a whiff of them, you’ll want strawberry shortcake, chocolate and mocha. I used the strawberry first, I love how the tips are slanted and slide across my lips easily. The balm left my lips glossy and helped my dried lips become smooth and moisturized. The next day I used the Mocha Rose, again the slanted tips made it easy to apply the balm. I applied the mocha balm over my lipstick, which seemed to seal in the color. The Rose Salve is a clear glossy balm that I applied over my lipstick, leaving my lips glossy and smooth.
Other great uses to Rosebud Salve are, makeup and eye makeup remover, cuticle softener, sunburn easer, dry skin healer, and frizzy fighter. Diaper rash, hemorrhoids, psoriasis, alopecia, and dry scalp are eased by an application of Rosebud Salve. It also relieves common skin irritations such as wind burn, insect bites and sore, red noses associated with colds with soothing Rosebud Salve.
I love the Medley of Lip Balm Tubes from Rosebud Perfume Co, and would recommend this product to my family and friends. It’s my pleasure to award Rosebud Perfume Co. a
