Julep Maven, what is it and how to become one too!
2 weeks ago I was hopping around reading some of my favorite blogs, one of the ladies I enjoy reading mentioned being a Julep Maven. You know me I had to find out what it was, and more importantly if it was something I was interested in how I could be one too. After reading her article, which talked about receiving a beauty box on a monthly basis for $20. I decided to go check out the Julep Maven’s website. I’ve always wanted to join a monthly beauty box program, but spending $20 up front to “test” the program wasn’t something I wanted to do. After looking at the site and realizing it was beauty products geared toward, manicure and pedicure products. (nail polish, hand cream, scrubs, and pedicure products) it sparked an interest. But I had to know more, so I went to my dear friend (well most of the time) Google for some answers. After reading more about what others had said about the program and nearly having made my mind up, I read one last article. The article mentioned using the penny code to get your first box for only a penny. I already liked what I had read, but the penny code was what sold me. I went back to the site and did their beauty quiz (this will determine your style), filled out my information and put the word Penny in the coupon code box. About a week later my first box arrived, with 2 full bottles of nail polish and a hand softener scrub. I’ve used both the scrub and nail polishes and enjoy the product. Well worth the penny spent, and if the later shipments are like this one definitely worth $20 a month. If I decide that I don’t want to continue I can cancel at any time, prior to the new shipment date.
Klout – What is Klout? How does it work?
Klout is the standard of influence, and it measures your influence online. Many of our friendships and professional connections are online, this makes influence measurable for the first time in history. When you recommend, share, and create content you impact others. Your Klout Score measures that influence on a scale of 1 to 100.
When you create content it’s normally based on a topic, Klout takes that topic and scores you. You are scored on your ability to drive action. Your reach – how many you share with, Amplification – how much you influence them (how often they reshare your content), Network Impact (network created by, sharing and being reshared)
It’s interesting to see your reach, amplification and your network. I realized that sharing your content is important, but more importantly it’s even better when others reshare your content.
