America’s Oldest Teenager Dick Clark Dies at 82

Dick Clark was long known for his departing catchphrase, “For now, Dick Clark…so long,” delivered with a military salute, and for his youthful appearance, earning the moniker “America’s Oldest Teenager.”

I remember watching American Bandstand as a child, and listening to Dick Clark occasionally hosting the American Top 40. He’s one of those guys that even at 82, you picture him young vibrant so full of  life. (guess that is why they gave him the “America’s Oldest Teenager”. He was one of my favorite radio personalities and one the funniest game show hosts. But my all time favorite was his New Year’s Rockin’ Eve show, making his last appearance at this past year’s show.

Dick Clark died after suffering a massive heart attack, following a medical procedure on today.
RIP Dick Clark you will be missed by many!!

  1. Hey I located your blog by mistake when i searched Msn for this issue, I need to say your website is really helpful I also love the layout, it is awesome!

  2. I can remember dancing with my oldest sister in our living room while we watched American Band Stand. That was in the early 60’s. He was an American treasure and he will be missed. I don’t think anyone else could have brought rock and roll along with dancing teenagers to television.

    Have a great weekend!

    • I remember him from the 70’s and my sister and I doing the same thing, he will be truly missed.

      Thank you for dropping by
