A to Z Challenge – S
Stylish Blogger ~ Sweet ~
Seems like I catch up then fall behind, catch back up, then fall behind. You see where I am going with that right?? Take 2 steps forward then two steps back.. This was with posting and reading blogs that I follow.I started feeling guilty I hadn’t caught up on my reading of some of my favorite blogs. I’d read their newest latest and greatest, but felt like I was missing some really important stuffs from past posts. I made up my mind, that I’d lock the door and “Afk” from life for at least an hour. That made me feel guilty too but it was the only way I was going to get some much needed “me” time. So I locked the door and hung the sign “AFK from Life” (no I didn’t really put up a sign)Aahh with a sigh and a bit of relief I sit down in front of my computer determined to “catch up” on reading. I open my favorites and head to one of my first followers, Jim author of Holes in My Soles. He always has some really interesting photos from his travels and adventures and I had no clue what he had been up to lately. *clicks*Oh, interesting he and his lovely wife are going on another trip, great can’t wait for them to return I know they will bring back a ton of new pictures and give us all the details (story) about them.I read on and at the end of his post I see “G” is for great rewards for great friends. I immediately click on it .. Oh if Jim was giving out rewards this is gonna be a great party and like I thought, there was a huge ceremony where many were recognized for their great writings, the page is loaded I believe he gave out 14 of them.I continue reading he made it so exciting … and he swiftly moves on to the “Stylish Blogger” awards. Jim gives out the first award and continues and I hear him call my name and blog, feeling honored and excited I smile and I accept the award.
Part of accepting this great award is that I now have to tell you 7 wonderful, exciting things about myself then pass the award on to 7 other great “Stylish Bloggers” so let me bore you a bit more… with “More” bits about Debbie and then I’ll excite you with the chosen bloggers to receive the award and send you on your way!
Bit 1 ~ I was a teenage mom, by the time I was 22 I already had 4 beautiful children. The oldest just turning 7 when I went into labor for his sister.Bit 2 ~ I had this biggest crush on my Physical Education teacher (middle school), later down the road my son and his son were on the same baseball team.
Bit 3 ~ I went from being a Personal Assistant to a president of an Engineering firm to being a Preschool teacher when Noah turned 4 months old. The quilt of leaving my baby in the care of others was too overwhelming. I didn’t work when my other children where babies so it was very hard on me. Instead of not working I made a career change. I taught preschool for 4.5 years, then decided it was time to get back the PA jobs.
Bit 4 ~ Chocolate is my favorite junk food. I call it my down fall, show me chocolate and I’ll give up my veggies immediately.
Bit 5 ~ I am a stubborn person, very stubborn.
Bit 6 ~ I got my first tattoo when I turned 30, its of a dolphin jumping over the moon. I have it on my right ankle. I have since gotten another one, lower back tribal looking with my zodiac sign “Gemini”
Bit 7 ~ I have broken “both” my ankles. First accident was when I was teaching we had a skating field trip, and I saved one of my student from falling but in the mix of saving him I tripped up landed with my leg under me with my ankle broken all the way around. Second time, it was mid January I decided to put the christmas decorations up in the attic. While moving boxes and stuff I stepped on the ceiling drywall without even thinking, the next thing I feel is me falling 8′ to the garage floor. Saving my head from becoming splattered, I decided it was best to try to land on my feet. Oppps “broken ankle” again all the way around . Both ankles now have screws and plates holding them in place. I set off alarms at the court-house, the airport etc. I always say I have metal ….
Bored yet ?? Well I won’t bore you more… all the bits about me are over and it’s time to give out the awards. Not just any award but the “Stylish Blogger” award.
