This Moment : Friday Ritual  A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment you want to pause, savor and remember. “This Moment” is a ritual found on Life inspired by the Wee Man, adopted from SouleMama, which was introduced to me by Sarah-Jane author of Almost There, and Bongo author of  Bongo Is Me If you find yourself touched by a Moment and would like to participate, post your picture on a Friday and leave your link in the comments section. Haunted Series ~ Part 1

Dark Night - Haunted Part 1 Scattered Musings of A Creative Mind

Haunted Houses, Castles and Ghost Stories  Haunted Series Part 1   ~ Tower of London Have you ever heard an odd sound in the dark, a weird whisper of the wind, shiver with unexplained goosebumps, or have the feeling of being watched? In every culture from ancients to present, there have been documented beliefs in ghostly spirits. I have always been fascinated with ghost stories that you can link to the nonfictional aspects of a scene.  Old castles and the ghost stories connected to them are my favorite haunting. Some castles are seeped through with myths and legends, scary stories of spooks, and…

Reclaiming

Reclaiming me again, a mission I vowed to start in Sept of last year. All my life I have done everything “everyone” expected me to do. Looking back, I realize that I have this overwhelming need to save everyone from themselves and think little about saving me. As a child, I played games my sister, cousins and friends wanted because I wanted them to be happy. I remember once I was so sick every time I moved I felt my stomach twist and knot up, but my sister wanted to play dolls and I sat with her playing forgetting about…

Daisy Lemmas Riff Project

It’s been one week today since family arrived, we’ve haven’t really done much in ways of going out etc. Mostly quiet stuff around the house. A trip to the food store here and there, a couple of times out to have dinner, and a trip to the mall. Our newest adventure is looking for a game that Noah has wanted, 3 stores and a game stop and still can’t find it. We may have to order it online, which we were trying not to do. I haven’t really had much time to blog, or catch up on reading some of…

The King

Elvis Presley – The King I have always been a big fan of Elvis Presley,  I used to sit for hours as a little girl watching his beach movies with stars in my eyes and that dreaming little girl crush look on my face. Elvis had the looks and the voice that melted the hearts of woman and girls all over the world. Elvis Aaron Presley became an angel when I was 7, I remember coming home from school to see my mother and aunt sitting in a bean bag in front of our TV, crying their eyes out over…

Family Visiting

Enjoying family visitors from out-of-state. Lani spotless, the house flawless… Flight arrived on time, was able to actually get to the airport and greet everyone. We had a nice “late dinner” at Lee Roy Selmons , I ate the Citrus Glazed Salmon it was pretty good. Arriving back at that house around 11pm, it was nice to see that my hard work was appreciated it. They commented on how things had changed and it “smelled nice” in the house. I showed them the guest room and closet and drawer space I made available for them during their stay. We all…

When one door closes, another one opens

They say when one door closes another opens, what do you do when you find yourself going back to the closed-door? I walk miles away from it, only to find myself turning around and going back…. I struggle with that door way to often and wonder if I really closed it. I find myself dreaming that it will open pull me back in! I sat leaning against it many of days and sleepless nights trying to will it to open to get a glimpse of that blissful world. Every so often it opens a crack, I see in and dream…
